Welcome to the online home of the

Celebration Singers!

 2017 Began Marvelously Well

We have wrapped up the 2016 Christmas season that included our Messiah Sing-Along, two performances of our "Holiday Favorites" concert, and an incredible experience at John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - Millennium Stage and are moving on to the rest of our 2017 season.

This past March the Celebration Singers brought to the stage Schubert's "Mass in G."  In addition to the talents of our Choir, we were blessed with the participation of three professional soloists, two violins, a viola, a cello, and an organ to deliver this powerful piece of music.  To begin the concert, the Choir performed several traditional "perpetual canon" or rounds chosen by our Director, Terry Stackley.  It was a fun start to this quite classical main event.  Singing at the Old Bridge United Methodist church and at Westminster at Lake Ridge was a joy and the audiences seemed to agree.

Earlier in the March, we hosted our first annual Patron Appreciation Wine and Cheese Social.   Amid the snacks, each of our selected charities; ACTS, the Kara Foundation, and Help Us Grow Strong (HUGS), spoke about their mission and the work they do in support of our local community.  The event enabled our members and patrons to socialize, but more importantly, to learn more about the charities their funds support.  This event was supported in part by Giant Foods, Safeway, Harris Teeter, Food Lion and a discount on wine provided by Total Wine.  We thank you all so much.

We have pictures of all these events posted in the "Sights" tab above.  Thank you all for supporting us and the charities we fund.  We hope you enjoyed listening to the music as much as we enjoyed performing.

As usual, we will wrap up the year with our traditional "Singers' Choice" concert with performances on Friday, June 9th and Tuesday June 13th.  Each piece is recommended by our members and usually spans the musical spectrum from classical, religious, pop, folk, and who knows what else - talk about variety!

We hope you have an opportunity to attend our remaining 2017 concerts and we are confident you will enjoy the music as much as we do.  The season will provide you with worthwhile entertainment and, with your help, an opportunity to support the local charities that we sponsor.  Don't forget, our concerts are free and 100% of your donations go to these fine charities.  (See the "About" Tab above for details about these charities.)

The dates and locations for this season's concerts are listed in the column at the right.  Schedule and location changes can occur, new pictures are posted after each concert, and choir news is always fun to hear so...

...Check back often!
